A. INPUT DEVICES
Keyboard - is an input device used to enter characters and functions into
the computer system by pressing buttons, or keys. It is the primary device used
to enter text. A keyboard typically contains keys for individual letters, numbers and
special characters, as well as keys for specific functions.
Mouse - is a device that accepts text and graphic output from
a computer and enables
us to get computer output on paper. It is one of the most popular computer
output devices we often use to get information on paper - called hard copy.
B. PROCESSING DEVICES
Central Processing Unit (CPU) - is often referred to as the brain of
the computer and handles all instructions it receives from hardware and
software running on the computer.
Motherboard - is a printed circuit board that is the
foundation of a computer, located on the back side or at the bottom of the
computer chassis. It allocates power and allows communication to the CPU, RAM, and
all other computer hardware components.
C. OUTPUT DEVICES
Monitor - is an output device that is used to display video and graphical information generated by the
computers graphics adapter, allowing the user to interact with the computer.
Printer - is a device that accepts text and graphic output from
a computer and enables
us to get computer output on paper. It is one of the most popular computer
output devices we often use to get information on paper - called hard copy.
